KILL JACKIE is a revenge thriller series starring Catherine Zeta-Jones in the title role. Also, we get Sidse Babett Knudsen in a key supporting role. I was one happy camper watching this one. It’s brilliant. Read our Kill Jackie S1 review here – and find it on AMC+ in the US, and on Prime Video or HBO Max outside the US!
KILL JACKIE is coming out on many different streaming platforms. If you’re in the U.S., Kill Jackie will be available on AMC+, but if you’re in the U.K. or Ireland, you need to head on over to Prime Video. Finally, if you’re on the European continent, HBO Max is your destination.
And yes, whatever your location, you’ll want to go seek out this thriller revenge series starring Catherine Zeta-Jones. I absolutely adore that she finally gets to speak in her own native Welsh accent. In fact, her being from Wales becomes a key part of her character.
Personally, I love the attitude she brings to the title character of Jackie Price.

Good luck trying to kill her
As revealed by the title, Kill Jackie is about someone trying to kill a character named Jackie. However, this is no small task, and it will take both skill and luck to accomplish the job. In that sense, the title character reminded me of Lucky, but Jackie Price is a woman of experience and expertise galore.
When we meet Jackie Price (Catherine Zeta-Jones), she has been living a life of luxury. Not entirely legal in all aspects, but she’s not (currently) a criminal either. She operates within the gray areas and is damn good at it.
For the past two decades, she has been travelling the world, and her job has been selling fine art. A very different career than her past drug smuggling career, which she is always on the run from. She leads a life of anonymity and has many people on her payroll. Yes, corrupt cops and good, loyal friends alike.
Of course, anyone who will take a bribe cannot be trusted, and Jackie Price will soon have to change the course of her life again. It’s not a big deal to Jackie, as she was getting rather bored. What is a big deal is that “The Seven Demons” have been sent after her.
They are a squad of the world’s most terrifying hitmen. Now, she is their next target, and they never fail.
Then again, they’ve never tried killing Jackie Price before.
Great for fans of Killing Eve
Oh yes, I absolutely debated with myself whether or not to invoke the Killing Eve card for this one. However, I really do feel that Kill Jackie has a lot of the same qualities. No, not Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, but Catherine Zeta-Jones does play a character that somehow feels like a hybrid of their Villanelle and Eve Polastri characters.
I mean, Jackie Price (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is a woman who is in charge of her own life, but also enjoys losing a bit of control. A challenge is welcome, but do not hurt those she loves, or she will come after you.
Of course, the entire concept of this series is that someone is coming after her. Mostly, the assassin Karenina, who is portrayed by the amazing Danish actor Sidse Babett Knudsen (Westworld, Borgen). And yes, I do like the fact that a fellow Dane plays a character with what can only be called a Russian version of my own name.
And yes, the fact that we have Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sidse Babett Knudsen in a strange cat-and-mouse game in Kill Jackie does also add to the whole Killing Eve vibe. Also, Killing Eve did have a Danish actor in a key role as well. Kim Bodnia played Konstantin, the “handler” (well, he tried) of Villanelle.
Finally, this series actually comes from some of the creative minds behind Killing Eve. All these elements combined mean that fans of Killing Eve absolutely must check out Kill Jackie.

Kill Jackie is based on “The Price You Pay” by Sunday Times best-selling author Nick Harkaway, writing as Aidan Truhen. This series adaptation is co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London), Peter Lawson (John Wick), and Damon Thomas (Killing Eve).
The lead director is Damon Thomas with Tom Butterworth as writer and showrunner. Conor Keane co-wrote the TV adaptation and is associate producer while Nick Harkaway serves as executive consultant on the series.
Kill Jackie stars Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago, Wednesday), and the Oscar, BAFTA and Tony Award-winning actress seems to be having a blast with this series. She is also an executive producer on the show, and finally gets to speak in her own Welsh accent.
Also, she gets to play across from a cast full of amazing talent.
Her scenes with Sidse Babett Knudsen are certainly always memorable. You can also look forward to seeing Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Bill Paterson (Fleabag), Raff Law (Masters of the Air), Enzo Cilenti (Black Mirror), Darci Shaw (The Irregulars), and Hattie Hook (Ten Pound Poms).
Season 1 of Kill Jackie has eight episodes, and all 8 episodes are released on the premiere day.
Womentainment recommendation: Get ready to fall in love with Catherine Zeta-Jones all over again!
Oh yeah, as much as Kill Jackie is full of amazing actors, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the reason to watch this series. She is fierce, bossy, emotional, and all-around amazing as Jackie Price.
As a woman of a certain age, if you will, she does not take any crap from anybody. I love that. Also, I enjoyed how the overall plot is full of crime, survival, and revenge served alongside action and comedy.
Finally, I love how the male character of Jack from the novel was changed to the woman, Jackie. And they made her from Wales. That’s the power of Catherine Zeta-Jones. Of course, this also meant she really had to deliver. Fortunately, she does!
Kill Jackie premieres on October 2, 2026.
Find it on AMC+ in the US, Prime Video in the UK and Ireland, and finally, on HBO Max in Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, France, and Belgium.
